Shorthand for WindowsTM 
How to Put the Shorthand Setup Files on Diskettes

The Shorthand 8 installation files are approximately 2 Mb in size. On this page we give you the option of downloading the files in 3 smaller "chunks" that are each less than 720Kb in size.

Download these 3 zip files:

  1. Click here to download SH870b-1of3.ZIP.

  2. Click here to download SH870b-2of3.ZIP.

  3. Click here to download SH870b-3of3.ZIP.

To install Shorthand from your hard disk:

  1. Unzip the contents of the above 3 *.zip files to an empty directory on your hard disk using WinZip (http://www.winzip.com) or any other PKZIP compatible program.

  2. Install Shorthand by running the SETUP.EXE program.

To create and install Shorthand from installation diskettes:

  1. Prepare two (2) 1.44 Mb 3.5" floppy diskettes. The diskettes must be blank and formatted.

  2. Use WinZip (http://www.winzip.com) or any other PKZIP compatible program to unzip the contents of SH870b-1of3.ZIP to the first diskette.

  3. Use WinZip (http://www.winzip.com) or any other PKZIP compatible program to unzip the contents of SH870b-2of3.ZIP to the second diskette.

  4. Use WinZip (http://www.winzip.com) or any other PKZIP compatible program to unzip the contents of SH870b-3of3.ZIP to the second diskette. (Note: It is also permissible to unzip SH870b-3of3.ZIP to a third diskette if you wish.)

  5. Shorthand can now be installed by running SETUP.EXE off the first diskette.
